This is a Gold Coast wedding video, taken by Sarah Dinsey Film Productions, of highlights of one of my beautiful weddings that I performed on the beach at Dunes on Shelley, Ballina for a special, fun loving couple. The couple requested I perform the main part of the ceremony down by the water, followed by a butterfly release which symbolised the past loved ones that could not be present on the special day and to also think of all the new wishes for their future. According to an American Indian Legend, if anyone desires a wish to come true they must first capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it. Since a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal the wish to anyone but the Great Spirit who hears and sees all. In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom, the Great Spirit always grants the wish.
For the second part of the ceremony, the guests followed myself and the bridal party to a beautiful lawn area where the couple performed a touching sand blending ceremony. The views over the water were stunning. The colour theme of the wedding ceremony, reception and sand colours was blue and yellow, to match the beach theme. I thank Margi and Daniel for allowing me the honour to marry them and I wish them a lifetime of happiness and an amazing future where all their dreams come true.
